Access to Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounges
Maple Leaf Lounge access is provided by Air Canada. Lounges are located in the
departure area, and are for departing customers only. At reception the member
must present a valid Air Canada Maple Leaf Club card and a same-day, confirmed
ticket in any fare for a departing Air Canada, Air Canada JazzTM†,
ZIPTM, Air Canada codeshare or Star
Alliance® airline flight, to be entitled access. Guest Privileges and access are
available to paid guests only; $10 before 11am or $20(CDN) after 11am, per
visit. CIBC Club Privileges Travel member and guests must each have a
confirmed, same-day departing ticket on an Air Canada, Air Canada Jazz, ZIP,
Air Canada code share or Star Alliance airline flight to be permitted access to
a Maple Leaf lounge, although they need not be flying on the same flight.
Members permitted unlimited number of paid guests, subject to space
availability. All guests must enter the lounge with a Member. Guest passes can
be pre-purchased at Air Canada Ticketing counters (various methods of payment)
or at lounge reception (credit or charge card only). Membership is open to all
persons 18 year of age and over and is subject to all rules and guidelines set
by Air Canada. Membership is personal and non-transferable. Lounges are subject
to varying hours of operation and bar service, and Air Canada reserves the
right to add/remove locations. While lounges are not subject to formal dress,
proper attire is respectfully requested. For the safety of Air Canada's younger
guests, each lounge strictly adheres to local laws and regulations regarding
the serving of alcoholic beverages. Air Canada Arrivals Lounge access is
provided by Air Canada. Access to Air Canada Arrivals Lounge is available upon
presentation of a valid Air Canada Maple Leaf Club card and a same-day,
confirmed intercontinental ticket on an arriving Air Canada flight, regardless
of fare type purchased. Access to Maple Leaf Lounge and Air Canada Arrivals
Lounge is not available to employees of Air Canada or its subsidiaries. Air
Canada reserves the right to revise these rules and benefits at any time
without notice.
Air
Canada Executive First/Executive Class Priority Check-in Privileges
Applicable at airports where Executive First/Executive Class Priority Check-in
is available and handled by Air Canada agents only. Applies to any fare
including Aeroplan® reward travel. Available when travelling on any scheduled
Air Canada, ZIP, or Air Canada Jazz operated flight during normal operations.
Not available to employees of Air Canada or its subsidiaries.
7-Day Multi-Trip Annual Emergency Travel Medical Insurance Coverage
2 CIBC Emergency Travel Medical Insurance is underwritten by Co-operators Life Insurance Company and administered by Trent Health Insurance Services Corp. (Trent Health). A detailed summary of the terms, conditions, limitations, exclusions and other provisions are contained in your Certificate of Insurance, which you receive upon purchase. Please read it carefully. Those age 80 or over must be medically underwritten and coverage will be subject to a premium surcharge. Please call 1-888-737-2665 to determine the amount of the premium surcharge. Please read the Renewal section below for further information in respect of the renewal of your insurance coverage.
3 The maximum duration of an insured trip including any extensions and top-ups cannot exceed 212 days unless you obtain written approval from your Provincial Health Insurance Plan.
Effective Date
Your new Club Privileges Travel enrolment will be effective immediately
following the expiration of your existing Club Privileges Travel membership,
provided you have paid for the new program prior to your expiry date.
Otherwise, or for new Club Privileges Travel customers, your new Club
Privileges Travel enrolment will take effect approximately 15 days following
the purchase of the new program. This date will appear as the Effective Date on
your welcome letter. This effective date also applies to the 7-Day Multi-Trip
Annual Emergency Travel Medical Insurance portion of the Club Privileges Travel
program.
Renewal
The cost of the program will be billed directly to your CIBC Aerogold VISA
account. On your expiry date, the Club Privileges Travel program will be
automatically issued to you for the next 365-day period with the then-current
fee and with the terms and conditions then being offered unless you live in
British Columbia, Alberta, Quebec, Nova Scotia, Yukon, Northwest Territories or
Nunavut. We will not be able to automatically issue a new Club Privileges
Travel program, including Emergency Travel Insurance, to you if you reside in
any of the aforementioned jurisdictions.
Additionally, the 7-Day Multi-Trip Annual Emergency Travel Medical Insurance
portion of the Club Privileges Program will not be automatically renewed on
your expiry date in the following cases:
(i) if you turned 80 years of age in the last 365-day period; and/or
(ii)
if
you had completed a medical questionnaire or were previously
underwritten for coverage of pre-existing conditions.
Before
your expiry date, CIBC will notify you of the details pertaining to
renewing CIBC Club Privileges Travel. If you do not wish to have
Club Privileges Travel automatically issued, please notify us by
calling 1-888-737-2665.

Day Money-Back Guarantee
Provided you have not participated in any of the benefits associated with the
Club Privileges Travel package, you can cancel this program within 30 days of
the effective date of your enrollment. Please call Trent Health at
1-888-737-2665 to cancel. Packages must then be returned to Trent Health within
5 business days of cancellation; upon receipt of the package, a refund of $189
will be posted to your CIBC Aerogold VISA account.
